Re: Something for one's health

I am 51, and never smoked tobacco. So I am tobacco free... My Mom was a big smoker and I told her the sure fire way to quit smoking. That was an awesome story. Laughed my ass off.. Just don't leave that yellow bike sitting around Austin, Tx. They have that Yellow Bike Project where you are free to take the bike, ride to your destination, and leave the bike for the next person who needs it.

Re: The second saddest Barracuda related fire-sale story..

As I was a little too old for a Big Wheel when Mattel came out with it, I was wondering why a teenage version was not made. But then I remembered... We had the Tri-Sport (Alsport) Three Wheelers. I had a friend that had one with a factory 2 stroke twin with expansion chambers and a wheelie bar, that...

Re: Nite Ride

I have the Turbo Cat lighting rig as pictured and had designed a helmet light using a 7v Makita battery stowed in the Camelbak. For a while, I was riding the Austin Barton Creek Greenbelt at night. But one night, I was at, what I call the Moon Rocks near a cliff and all of a sudden, I heard somethin...

Re: Samford's 94 A2M

Just an update on my A2M. As you know, I was attempting to scam my wife at Christmas to gain ownership, and yes, it worked. The A2M is officially mine. Hanging upside down for the last 15 years made it totally unrideable. I rebuilt the Manitou4 with the Wings dual linear springs and got an extra 10m...

Re: Manitou 4 conversion?

I finally opted to lacquer thinner to clean out to goo on the inner tubing walls. That stuff is caustic and difficult to work with. But cuts the goo pretty quick. Yes, neo, I took your advice and installed the heavy springs. Something was telling me that a spring in one side and a dampener in the ot...
