ctk-

Sweet ride! I'm only minorly familiar with Pesenti frames... it looks like it's fillet brazed at the all the joints. Is that true? If so, I'm going to start looking for one!

Re: How do you keep your Cuda(s) safe?

Nice! When I used to have my art studio in downtown L.A., sawed-offs were always thought of as "special choice" when you wanted to say "Hey!!!" to someone from a moving vehicle. Now, I live in the suburbs and all my neighbors have sawed-offs for protection, I thought my pitbull/b...

Re: 1993 Barracuda A2X

Hey ctk, Every Topline and Cook Brothers crank that I've had has required some "massaging" of the Chainrings to not have chain rub. Some have had bent spider issues and other have had issues with the square tapers not being exact so it seats off center on the b.b. spindle. What's the issue...

Re: How do you keep your Cuda(s) safe?

Here is his posting on MTBR.com, that's where I read about it. What a shame ctk- Check the link: http://www.barracudabicycles.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=60 (scroll down towards the bottom) The White Bros SC70UL may go on my gold/white A2L, and I just finished building my baby with a White Bro...

Re: How do you keep your Cuda(s) safe?

I did see that... it made me sick to my stomach! So much high-end vintage and rare stuff, awesome collection for sure. Here's what gets me, he locks them up in a common use basement, WTF?!!! I'm sorry, that's just plain stupid! I feel for the guy but you might as well invite the thief in for a snack...

How do you keep your Cuda(s) safe?

Hey gang, I'm just curious if any of you take any precautions when it comes to protecting your Barracuda(s) and other bikes? I ask because my buddy was by the house visiting yesterday and commented on how many locks I have on the bikes. He knows I live in a quiet, safe neighborhood, where everyone k...

Re: '93 A2Limited

Hey Rob,

Do you recall which decal your frame had before you painted it?

In a previous reply above, Mark has both types of tubing decals. I also included the decal on my frame. Do either of those look familiar?

Re: '93 A2Limited

Hi Mark,

That's the same decal I have on my A2L... you can barely make it out in the picture taken of the front of the bike, it's at the bottom of the seat tube (below the front derailleur). I also took a close up shot, so you could see if it matched what you had on file.

Thanks for the help!

1993 'Cuda A2L (Limited)

I decided when I sold my 1991 Stumpjumper that I was going rebuild my A2L with the Shimano XT 7 speed grouppo. I'm really pleased... I just cut some XTR gray housing, ran the cables, installed the Cane Creek headset with a White Brothers fork, and hit the trail. This bike performs amazingly! I alway...
