Re: A2T back from the dead
Hey the first step was pulling her out of the corner, second maybe fixing her up for a nostalgic ride from time to time....I see nothing wrong with that! Last time out with mine a guy from a group rode by on his modern AM bike, smiled and said I remember those, it is fun to pull out old school cool ...

Re: Out with the new, in with the old
See if this works....Hey they work for a change !!!! Well " D " you know my plan will not use those forks or stem and the saddle needs to be restored, but for those who care...this is the start of my 36 Colson board track inspired ride. I have the front hub and cream color brick tread tire...

Re: Out with the new, in with the old
Yep, I feel a narrow style bar would flow better with the rear of the bike, I was thinking more drag bar style but you have the seat set way back....which is part of the cool look of the build so far so need to work with that. I will check out the shims or hit up one of the shops I am friendly with ...

Re: Out with the new, in with the old
I have pic's of the parts, well none of the saddle at this time. As I said on FB, I can dry fit the BB area and with the rigid forks and the stem on there I can put the handlebars on, which none of that will be used, if I do not get those bars re chrome I will get different bars in same style..I fig...

Re: Out with the old, in with the new (vpc inspired)
My guess is to wide, the rear of the bike has the classic slick muscle bike look then those bars go BAM way out to the side like a beach bike. If you could find a narrow bar that angles back ...idea I would throw out is something along the lines of a drag bar like they do on motorcycles, might need ...

Re: Out with the old, in with the new (vpc inspired)
Like the Vanilla road bikes! Yeah I figured you were going to say to much of a reach for the Soma bars. Shame the paint job is fubar and I hate when folks wrap bike locks on the frame !

Re: Out with the old, in with the new (vpc inspired)
Like the look of the old layback with the Nana seat, did you buff that frame out because the color pops in your picture unless you just have better photo equipment...looks good ! What crank set up do you plan on running..have seen old profile cranks used that look great by the way ! Cool job D !
