1994 A2V - To Be Revived

Postby Hergules » December 18th, 2017, 5:56 pm

OK, I'm usually jealous hearing about all the guys out in Colorado finding lost classic bikes at local yard sales.... There just aren't that many barn finds here on the east coast... But I finally got lucky myself when a local club rider posted an A2V for sale real cheap. Not too often that I see a Prestige frame come available, and while this is a bit small for me (12"), it can definitely be resurrected for my wife or daughter who ride this size.

It's a mess at the moment... but the frame and wheels are in great shape. As a bonus, someone put an XTR 950 rear derailleur on it, and while it didn't come with the OEM fork, it has a Surly that I can sell for a few $$. Might just throw a Manitou 1 on it and make it trail-worthy again.

I have never seen an A2V in person. I think you have a rare bike there. Especially in a 12”. The forks are rare too. Most people discarded the factory fork for active forks. I still have my factory fork off of my A2M.
