I tore my barn find apart today, cleaning it up for my 16 year old Daughter. Tires are trash, shifters don’t shift, chain rusted solid, seat post frozen solid, bottom bracket trashed. But there is definitely hope. Today, I cleaned up the brakes, serviced the shifters and soaked the seat tube with penetrating oil. Tomorrow I will again attempt to remove the seat post.Image

Not bad.. I was able to remove the frozen seat post today. If anyone wants to know how I did that, I could post a “How To”. I hand compounded, polished and waxed the frame with Carnauba. Looking pretty good for a 25 year old frame. Image

Looking good so far Mix, Super D (Neo) should pop on to see what you have going on for your daughter. Have seen pic's of your son riding a Cuda, will get attention for the family to show up for a ride all on vintage rides. What forks are those, can not make out brand marking from pic ?

Sun Tour SR DuoTrack. It still works but seals are disintegrating. Ashley is my only child.

My Daughter has done well with her balance and has requested to have her crank installed, which I did today along with the original Alivio / STX shifting system and new SRAM PC-850 chain.
