Man.. My chain is slipping over the top of my middle crank sprocket. I isn't slipping over the small or large one. I guess it needs to be replaced.

I pulled out the CudaComp today for a ride in the neighborhood greenbelt. The CudaComp rides great. I only crashed it twice today.. I hadn't been out on the trails since before Christmas and already, some idiot is trying to block my trails. People are getting a little too possessive over the big conglomerations property.

Mix do you have a riding buddy? The way people are these days, maybe you should not ride alone....hate to sound paranoid but that is how it is now. They just had a write up about MTB riders packing in case of animals of the two and four leg type !

Are those that you're packin' ribbed, lubed, or mixed?

Is that where "mixalive" came from... the style of Trojan you prefer?

-sorry-

Bike safety and thieving scum bags has dropped on my doorstep. One of my old customers going way back stopped by the house to see if I had any lugged steel frames. I haven't done much work for the guy in the last few years because he got heavily into modern carbon road and CX stuff. He told me that earlier this week he was riding the paved bike path that goes to the beach when a guy jumped out from a blind corner with a knife and stole his bike. It was a one of the last high end Cannondales (with full Campy 10 speed) before they went full China with everything. The guy is older and not a big guy so there was no chance of fighting the guy off. He said the police did basically nothing, they took a report and gave him the awful stats about how many bikes are returned to their owners.

After showing him a frame, I pulled out my SOG tactical knife, it goes everywhere I go... especially when I ride! The SOG Flash II knife is really great, I'd highly recommend it to all of you regardless of whether or not you already carry. The spring assist blade ("S.A.T.") is open in a fraction of a second, once open the blade is securely fixed with no slop. The knife was developed by and for the Navy Seals. If my customer would have had the knife, possibly he could have defended himself instead of watching the guy ride off on his $4,000.00 bike.
