I am not 100% sure, but the pink/purple (non-tange) seems to look familiar. I only have two pictures of the bike with the original paint scheme, and neither one shows that area.

I guess that just adds to the A2L mystery.

I have an A2L near me thats of the Tange breed also....im playing the money game with the guy now...interesting to me that they would have switched up on the steel at some point.

Actually, from what I've heard, Barracuda moved production all over the place, quite frequently. It wouldn't surprise me that when they were using American frame builders, Tange was used, but then when the framebuilding was sourced to Taiwan, they used a cheaper supplier.
