Yeah, I was just given a "talking to" about my recent bike activities.

So, I'm laying low these days but it sure looks inviting. I may be in the same boat as you Mixalive, it might be a bit tall for me. It wouldn't be the first bike I road that was the wrong size! I gotta let this one marinade.

Somebody got a sweet Cuda at a foreclosure price!

Next time someone shows up looking for offers on a sweet Cuda, I'm tossing $100.00 at 'em... I'd rather insult them with a low offer and get chewed out for doing so... that way I don't have to feel like kicking myself (which is what I've wanted to do ever since he posted the sale price)!!!

Before selling it, I actually took it into my local bike shop (ironically that use to sell barracuda bikes back in the day) trying to trade it in on something more my speed these days. They really liked the bike but declined to take it on trade. They said as cool as it was, for them to put the effort into fixing all the little issues it had and replacing some very worn parts (a requirement for re-sale at their shop), just wouldn't be worth it in the end. No room to make any money they said. I asked how much the bike would be worth if it was on Craigslist or something... as-is... he ultimately settled on $75.00 (with the disclaimer that it's truly worth what someone is willing to spend on it).

After all that, I felt good selling it for $125.00. The guy who bought it seemed pretty excited about it too. It's in a better place now AND i finally got a nice comfort bike for me to ride around with my wife and kids... and gentlemen... that's all I ever wanted in the first place.
