Here is how the bike looks now (this was last month up in Copper Harbor, MI)
Running a pretty light Indy SL, and a 25.4 Thudbuster shimmed up to 26.4
I had to put the swept back bars on there for her - the long and low geometry of this is still a bit much for her, but of course now the handling is a bit wonky with the grips back there.
It's still a nice light ride though, however even at 9 years old and quite tall, the 26" wheels are a bit "29er" ish for her and she prefers her 24" wheeled bikes.
p.s. - there is a screaming deal on 12" a 1995 A2T comp right now on the Classic MTB Trader Page. If I didn't have this I'd be ALL over it. Al frame, Manitou 3, LX/XT kit.
Come on in and say hello. You'd be surprised at how many like-minded individuals are out there!
