*** Nice pair in Wisconsin ***
Hey gang-
Check out this sweet pair in Wisconsin for the grabbing...
1st up, a smokin' deal on an A2X (needs work ???):
http://madison.craigslist.org/bik/2289693187.html
Barracuda A2X Mountain Bike - $150 (WI)
Barracuda A2X Mountain Bike
1992 (If I recall correctly)
16inch frame but feels more like an 18 due to long top tube
XT parts
Needs work
2nd up is a nice looking Comp:
http://dubuque.craigslist.org/bik/2284221338.html
1994 Barracuda "Cuda Comp" Deore LX/XT - $350 ( WI)
I have two mountain bikes and unfortunately cannot afford to keep both. This is a very cool, very rare original Barracuda made out in Colorado. Check out http://www.barracudabicycles.com/bikes.html This was a $1600 bike new. Still in very good shape, all tuned up, completely ready to ride. Looking for $350 cash. All offers considered.
Frame: Tange Ultimate tubing
Size: 19” (should fit riders 5’7” – 6’ depending on preference)
Fork: Manitou Answer Three (made in USA out of Easton aluminum)
Brakes: Deore LX
Brake levers: Dia-Compe S7
Shifters: Gripshift X-ray
Front derailer: Deore LX
Rear derailer: Deore XT
Crankset: SR compact 42/32/22
Bars and seatpost: Barracuda aluminum
Headset: Aheadset 1 1/8 threadless
Saddle: Bontrager race
Tires: Specialized Hardrock’r 26x1.95”
Wheels:
Front – 32 hole Deore LX hub laced to Bontrager/Weinmann “435 gram” rim
Rear – 32 hole Deore XT hub laced to Bontrager/Weinmann “435 gram” rim
Good luck to all, someone on here should own and fix up the A2X for sure... too good a deal to pass up. I would but my bike money is buried in tube sets, trying to "fab" my own track/road frames.

Definitely ! ! !
Those look like Magura Hydraulic Brakes and Time ATAC Carbon pedals. It's not a great picture but it looks awesome to me!!! No beating that price!

Rad Sithlord... nice score on the mid-school SE! I'm jealous! I occasionally give myself a swift kick up the backside for giving my '85 and '92 PK to my nephew, don't get me wrong, he loves and cherishes them but I still miss 'em!
Cool little bit about my LBS, Scot "OM" B. sometimes pops by unannounced because his buddy Mikey ("Franzee") has always stuck by OM and SE through all that's gone down over the years. I used to make it out to the track in LB when I was a kid and watch those kings fly... some of my best bike memories!
Sithlord (or anyone else), what's your best SE story or memory?
The good 'ol days, man...

p.s. Sithlord, you need to get up on here more often, you're a vet from the previous 'Cuda site. I'm not critiquing you, just value your input.

Re: *** Nice pair in Wisconsin ***
Ive been so friggin busy between work and life (son will be 2 in June and have a girl due end of July) I have not had much time.
Fav SE story.....hmmmmmm......k...
Pertains directly to me. I got my PK when I was 15. Built it the best I could financialy, worked at my LBS so parts were cost. Long story short...I rode it for 6 months before it got stolen. Ironicaly enough, the insurance check I got for it paid for my '94 Cuda Comp. So it sorta got me here. Then 2 months later some kid was riding it at the local green and i saw it. I walked up to him and asked him where it came from. He told me he traded some game console for it (forget what it was at this point) and it was not mine. I then told him if the serial # on that frame was PK 1957 (yup i remembered it then and still do now) that it was coming with me or I was calling the cops. Needless to say I got it back. I ended up selling it but always missed it. So now Im gonna build another one for myself. Not so sure how its gonna fit, but it is a P.K. XL and I dont think I have gotten any taller......we shall see.

Ditto +2 Mix...
I lover a good recovery story! Nothing better than rising to the challenge, not being a victim, and coming out of it with hot dice rollin'!!! I've tried very hard to explain to various friends (and family) over the years, these are so much more than mere bikes! Something like a guru, therapist, or spiritual advisor... that is until my lil'angel was born... she is now the guru, etc..
Sith, man that's awesome, congrats on the great young family!!!
I know Mix has a little dreamboat about the same age as mine, little girls melt daddies' hearts! You're done, man, face it.

p.s. Should we start a recovery story thread? I got a doozy but I'm afraid to post it, someone will call me a thug (like one person did on a different site)!

Now, that's funny!!! I'm about as gangsta as Opie Taylor with a angry hangnail.
I'll wait and see if anyone weighs in on a recovery thread. I figure I already tarnished myself by going after Fluffy in that Bitterroot 'Cuda dispute
... I'll play this one a little more cautiously.
(see an old dog can be taught new tricks
)
I promise to be sweet, kind, and lovable... April Fools ! ! !
